02-07-11:
OK; one last update.
All the Limited Edition books are now in the mail, with their attendant certificates. Ian did a bangup job on the sketches, and I think all you buyers are going to be really happy with the results.
As always, I'd love to hear from any and all of you when you receive the books. Thanks once again, and happy reading!
"Dad?"
"Yes, child of mine?"
"Dad, where were you the last day they sold the Limited Edition of Bruno the Bandit?"
"Well,...um, you see....economy...recession....downturn...business...."
"Dad...you were eating Cheetos and watching pirated episodes of Family Guy, weren't you?"
"Yes, child of mine...yes I was."
"Oh, Dad."
Don't let this be a conversation you have with your darling offspring. Buy one of the remaining copies of the Limited Edition of Bruno the Bandit now, before it's too late.
Final update: Ian tells me that he's got the books all done and they're on their way back to me, so they should be winging their way to the buyers by week's end.
Final final update: And we're done! Many thanks to all who purchased this edition. Ian and I both appreciate all the support you've given to this fledgling enterprise. You fans rock!

Running Out!
As February 1st, the official launch date for The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit, draws nigh, we are running out....running out of copies of the limited edition that it, and running out of time in which to order them. Here's the thing....right now, we're selling these for 10 bucks each to promote the book, and to give something special to those longtime Bruno fans (you know who you are, and thanks to each and every one of you!). However, when the book officially goes on sale in a few days, that few copies that are left are going to increase in price, so your chance to get them at this (really, unbelievably) low price is going to vanish. With only 7 copies left as of the time of writing, this could be your last chance to grab the limited edition Brutal Blade before they're all gone. So what are you waiting for? Click here already!

The View from Midwinter...
Jean Paul Sartre wrote that "To read a poem in January is as lovely as to go for a walk in June." Of course, he might easily have followed that with "To read comics in January is lovelier still". (Subtle, no?)
January is more than half-gone, as are (nearly) our limited editions of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit". With a mere 13 copies left, now is the time to grab one while they last. Shortly, we'll be moving into the regular edition of the book, and this edition, like January, will be but a cold memory. Besides, Valentine's day is coming up, and what better way to say "I Love You" than with a copy of Bruno the Bandit? OK, I don't know how that relates to love at all, and admit that I am resorting to base hucksterism here, but still, how cool would it be?

Once he's worked his magic, he'll hustle them off to me, and I'll get them out to the buyers right away. If all goes well, they'll be winging their way to you before the end of January.

Happy New Year, Citizens!
New Year's Eve, 2010. I hope it was good to you, and in any case, I hope 2011 is even better. I tried to find references to science fiction using the year 2011 as setting for this post, but couldn't think of any. Can anyone suggest some good (or bad) 2011-centered sci-fi? If so, leave it in the comments, or drop me a line on Facebook.
As for us, 2010 was our year of setting up, and I'm hoping 2011 is going to be the year we make our presence known. AIM Comics is not going to be doing IDW-style numbers anytime soon, but I'd at least like the year ahead to show me that maybe we can make a go of it.
So howzabout helping us start off 2011 with a bang by ordering one of the remaining few limited edition copies of the first volume of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit"? Remember, not only do you get one of the first copies of the book to be sent out, but you get it signed and sketched by lovely and talented Ian McDonald. As a fun bonus, you also get an official (looking) document that declares you to be a Citizen of Rothland, with any and all benefits that implies....mainly the ability to declare yourself a Citizen of Rothland. Just click on Bruno's wickedly grinning mug below to be directed to Paypal and order your very own copy...but hurry; supplies are limited.

Just for a taster, here's a copy of what the Citizenship document will look like. Not only will you gain citizenship in this mythical kingdom, but you will also receive your very own, one-of-a-kind title, admitting you to the ranks of Rothland's nobility. Now where else are you going to find that kind of deal for ten bucks?
So Happy New Year, ladies and gents; be good to yourselves and each other. I'll see you all back here in 2011.

Limited Edition of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit" Now Available
As of right about now, we're offering a special limited edition of the first volume of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit" for preorder.
This is a VERY limited edition of 25 copies, which will be shipped prior to the release of the official print on demand and digital editions of the first issue. While the book itself will be exactly the same as the POD version, each copy will be personally autographed and sketched by Ian McDonald. So here's your chance to not only own the first copies of the first issue, and to support the future of both Bruno the Bandit and AIM Comics, but also to own an original sketch from Ian himself!
But, as the hucksters say, that's not all! Also shipping with each issue will be a special Certificate of Citizenship for the Kingdom of Rothland. By purchasing one of these advance copies, you will be granted official citizenship and title to the country of Bruno the Bandit's birth. Your Certificate will be signed by King Xerxes himself and will recognize your extraordinary service in lending your support to the crown of Rothland. These certificates will only ship with the advance copies and will not be available with the regular print on demand edition of "Brutal Blade", so this is your only chance, for now, to lay your claim to your own piece of Rothland. Get it before some bandit beats you to it!
The limited edition of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit" is only available through this website. The books will be ordered in January and shipped out to buyers as soon as Ian can get the sketches done, which he tells me will be fairly quick.
The cost is a paltry $10.00, payable via Paypal by using the link below. The price includes shipping anywhere in the world, making this possibly the best deal you can find for the money. Click on Bruno to order your advance copy of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit" vol. 1, and ensure your place in history!
Update: Want to try before you buy? There's a 10 page preview of "The Brutal Blade of Bruno the Bandit" now online at Amazon Createspace. You can get a good look at some sample pages from the first issue, read the introduction by Bill Holbrook, and even give us some much needed feedback on the book. Click Fiona's smilin' face to see for yourself!
